Ingredients:
- 6 tomatillos, husked and washed
- ½ small red onion, chopped
- 3–4 serrano chilies, minced
- ½ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- ¾ tsp. salt
- 1 tbsp. Chive Jive
- juice of ½ lime
- 2 large avocados, firm but ripe, pitted and pealed just before use
- tortilla chips
Directions:
Pre-heat broiler. Broil tomatillos until their tops are charred, 7 to 10 minutes. Flip tomatillos and broil bottoms until charred as well. In a medium-sized bowl, mix red onion, chiles, cilantro, salt, Chive Jive, and lime juice. Add tomatillos–a couple at a time–mashing with a fork after each induction. Add avocado and mash partially–leaving chunks. Serve with tortilla chips.
