6 tomatillos, husked and washed
1/2 small red onion, chopped
3--4 serrano chilies, minced
1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. Chive Jive
juice of 1/2 lime
2 large avocados, firm but ripe, pitted and pealed just before use
tortilla chips
Pre-heat broiler. Broil tomatillos until their tops are charred, 7 to 10 minutes. Flip tomatillos and broil bottoms until charred as well. In a medium-sized bowl, mix red onion, chiles, cilantro, salt, Chive Jive, and lime juice. Add tomatillos--a couple at a time--mashing with a fork after each induction. Add avocado and mash partially--leaving chunks. Serve with tortilla chips.
